A Local Authority based in London is seeking an experienced Mental Health Social Worker to join their Community Mental Health team specifically to review packages of care

Highlights

This is a home based post where you will only have to do visits and attend the office for the initial induction and the occasional meeting
The post will focus around reviewing packages of care and adjusting these based on the needs of the service users
This post offers a high degree of flexibility making it suitable to those candidates that may have additional responsibilities outside work such as child care etc.
Although mainly home based you will be a part of a supportive team that hold weekly meetings and regular virtual groups where cases can be discussed – especially those that are more complex so that you can be confident with your work.

This is an excellent opportunity for those candidates looking to take on a post which offers a high degree of flexibility around working pattern as you will be predominantly home based, only needing to attend that office for an initial short induction and the occasional meetings. The role focuses on supporting service users in the community that are affected by mental health issues and may require additional support.

The service benefits from a stable workforce and a manager who has been with the team or a substantial amount of time, ultimately reducing the risk of disruption to your workload. Further to this the manager is very supportive and encourages engagement at meeting and schedules regular supervision for the members of the team.

To be considered for this post you should have expedience of working within a mental health team. Due to the nature of the role you will also need to be fully vaccinated
